Corporate Cartels and Price Fixing: Allegations of price fixing and collusion among corporations to artificially inflate prices and stifle competition have long been a concern for consumers and regulators alike. From the LIBOR scandal, where major banks manipulated the London Interbank Offered Rate for profit, to accusations of price fixing in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals to technology, there is no shortage of examples of anti-competitive behavior. While some dismiss these incidents as isolated cases of corporate malfeasance, others see them as symptomatic of a larger trend of concentration of economic power in the hands of a few.
